What Jaci Says:
"I love Christmas music. For my ideal Christmas album, I wanted to record the songs I have always loved, done in their classic arrangements, just keeping them true to the beauty that is in the song itself. Plus, I found three great new songs that I was blessed to record."
"I was a big fan of Amy Grant's "Home for Christmas" album, and all her Christmas albums are wonderful. I also love Harry Connick Jr.'s "When My Heart Finds Christmas."
"Christmas in our family was always crazy-but in the best way. Our tradition placed a lot of emphasis on Christmas Eve. We ate tamales and tortillas and posole-which is a soup with hominy, pork, corn and red chiles-and then would open presents-and eat some more! My Aunt Sandra is in charge of the tamales and she will get three of my cousins to help her on those, my Aunt Tinsey is in charge of the tortillas and my Mom is in charge of the baked goods. She handles all the pies, dinner rolls and anything baked. Then on Christmas Day, we would see the more distant relatives at our grandparents' home in Grants, New Mexico. Today, I fly in for two days and fly out. There are just so many family members now that it's out of control!"
